Karko obeys to the orders of Maxwell Tremaine, a scientist traitor to America who aided nazis during World War II now making experiments in a junkyard of disposed weapons to create a robotic army. After receiving the orb Tremaine kills Karko using his robotic mantis and asks Metamorpho to help him to create an army.

Metamorpho rejects the offer and Tremaine makes the mantis to attack him. Rex flees and must confront Tremaine's monstruos creations living on the junkyard beating two of them using his powers.
